This apple pecan quick bread recipe is so delicious, that you may have fans waiting by the oven impatiently waiting for it to come out! You can use any type of apples, but I find that if you like a tart apple pie taste, then use green apples. If you like sweeter apples, then use red varieties. Personally, I use up the bruised apples of the red and green variety and it makes a perfect loaf! I do add 1/4 up of sugar, but the apples contribute so much natural fruit sweetness that you really just don’t need a lot of sugar in this recipe. (more…)
Roasted carrot soup is a delicious way to use up extra carrots, or carrots that aren’t super firm anymore. Roasting the carrots helps caramelize the natural sugars and adds a wonderful flavor to this soup.
Unfortunately, even though many countries have started or will be starting their coronavirus vaccination soon, it looks like we have not seen the last of lockdown. It is likely to be many months before our lives can again return to normal. It is nice to…

Our New Year’s Eve celebration may be small this year, but it will be fancy! Thankfully these sweet and savory blueberry brie bites are SUPER easy to make, but feel very gourmet. When I was growing up, it was a family tradition to be gifted quality pajamas for Christmas from my Grandmother. My Mom would often get new sheets or towels. As a kid, it was sort of a ‘meh’ gift experience, but now as an adult I have a real appreciation for my grandmother’s yearly gift choices. The ‘Greatest Generation’ or WWII kids grew up not wasting and they also believed in buying quality that would last. So, giving someone something they would use on a daily basis, over and over again that would be durable and not fall apart, was actually a gift of love. I now love giving and receiving USEFUL things! Tis the season for rich foods and overeating! It’s not that I plan on giving myself a stomach ache, but I do often overindulge in treats and comfort foods over the holiday season. Post-meal regret often sets in when my stomach starts to bloat or…
As parents, our children’s happiness is one of our biggest concerns. COVID-19 has presented new challenges to many students across the country, as many children are either doing online school or a hybrid version of online and in person school. Many kids are struggling with…
It’s easy to think that babies spend most of their early life filling their diapers, drinking milk and sleeping…and while there is some truth to that statement, your baby’s first year is, in fact, one that is filled with milestones and memories. (more…)
Hi, I’m Meg! 👋
Welcome to my corner of the internet, where wellness meets a weekend project obsession.
I’m a GenXer with a B.S. in Dietetics from Cal Poly, SLO, which is just a fancy way of saying I’m deeply passionate about plant-based eating and sustainable living—minus the rigid lectures. I care immensely about our planet, and I'm always on the hunt for the latest eco-friendly products, wellness innovations, and clean services that make living a healthier life just a little bit easier.
The twist? I’m also a total tech nerd. If a gadget can track my stats, optimize my day, or automate a chore, I’m all over it.
Whether you’re looking to green up your routine, find your next favorite home aesthetic, or just want to see what happens when a nutrition nerd tackles a new tech tool, you're in the right place. Let’s get creative!
