Spicy Crunchy Cauliflower in the Air Fryer

I, like most people on the planet, received an Air Fryer for Christmas. I’ve been playing with it over the past week and eating A LOT of cauliflower recipes. The Day the Sea Dumped Shells on the Beach

Shelling Tips for Shell Collectors I’m an avid shelling fan and enjoy spending countless hours on the beaches of Southwest Florida looking for the perfect uninhabited shell specimen. It can be back-breaking work, hunched over for hours, sorting through shell piles or wading in the water, but the…

I was in such a hurry to pack for my trip to Florida, that I didn’t think about checking the weather forecast. Typically when we have gone to Florida over the holidays in the past, the weather has been very nice if not outright balmy. So, imagine my surprise when I got off the plane and was met with a crisp cool breeze that ran shivers down me. Florida was having a cold snap and the temperatures were ranging from the low 40s to the low 60s during the day. I was not prepared and didn’t pack warm clothes!

Perfect After School Snack: Plant Based Burritos

Perfect After School Snack: Plant Based Burritos

I removed meat from my diet about 20-something years ago. It used to be rough as a vegetarian in a sea of meat eaters. People used to ask, “What on earth do you eat then….twigs?” Yes, twigs….and bark (eye roll). Although I don’t eat meat,…

Pickled Vegetable Wreath with Paisley Farm

Pickled Vegetable Wreath with Paisley Farm

Every holiday I can ever remember had pickled vegetables at our family gatherings. I’m not sure if the pickled food lends back to my German heritage, or my Southern roots from the Carolinas as both places seem to love their pickled vegetables!  Pickled vegetables are great…

Lemon Leek Soup with Rice
