The Ultimate Spring Cleaning Checklist: Room-by-Room Guide” (Cleaning tips, printable checklist)

Spring is in the air, and with it comes the annual tradition of spring cleaning. It’s a great time to refresh your home and get rid of any clutter or dust that has accumulated over the winter months. Personally, I get a burst of energy and motivation with the longer lighter days!

To help you get started, we’ve created a room-by-room spring cleaning checklist. This checklist will help you stay organized and ensure that you don’t miss any important areas.

  • Dust all surfaces, including the headboard, nightstands, and dresser.
  • Vacuum or mop the floor.
  • Clean out your closet and get rid of any clothes you don’t wear anymore.
  • Organize your dresser and nightstand drawers.

Bathroom

  • Clean the toilet, sink, and shower/tub.
  • Scrub the grout and tile.
  • Wash the shower curtain and bath mat.
  • Clean the mirror.
  • Organize your bathroom cabinets and drawers.

Kitchen

  • Clean the countertops, sink, and stovetop.
  • Wash the dishes and put them away.
  • Take out the trash and recycling.
  • Wipe down the cabinets and appliances.
  • Sweep or mop the floor.

Living Room

  • Dust all surfaces, including the coffee table, end tables, and TV stand.
  • Vacuum or mop the floor.

Other Rooms

  • Vacuum or mop the floors.

Additional Tips

In addition to cleaning, now is an excellent time to purge unused items in good condition to local charities. If you have sheets and towels that have seen better days,  Animal shelters are always in need of used sheets and towels! Shop for linens and towels that are high quality so they last longer and also look for seasonally appropriate sheet weights.  I recommend Organic Cotton Percale sheets for warmer weather.

We hope this checklist helps you get your home sparkling clean this spring!

Happy cleaning!

Please note that this is just a sample checklist, and you may need to adjust it based on your specific needs.
