MSG 21+ Now that it’s Springtime, I’m excited about entertaining outside again. I love making healthy beautiful party platters for my friends, as we all enjoy fresh food. As an artistic food challenge, I recently started creating platters limited to two colors. It’s a fun dynamic food effect, and I have to get creative to find healthy food additions that fit the color scheme! For this party platter creation, I chose purple and green as the primary colors.
I loaded up with fresh broccoli, cucumbers, purple cauliflower, purple corn chips, blueberries and blackberries and a couple of kiwis. The sky is the limit as to what you may add! Try your own color combos and start hunting for foods that will fit various color combo schemes: red & purple, yellow & green, orange & green, etc. It’s a kick!

As you can see, the party platter is fairly easy to assemble. Make an ‘ in color’ veggie dip, or buy a prepared one if you’re short on time. For my quick green dip, I simply blended avocado, low-fat sour cream, a dash of olive oil, lemon, and fresh garlic.
