I am over the moon happy with the new Keurig® K-Duo Essentials™ Coffee Maker! As an appliance junkie (coffee makers, mixer, toaster oven, pressure cooker, breadmaker) I have found myself with limited counter space, which has been a struggle for our household. The new Keurig® K-Duo Essentials™ combines the BEST of both coffee worlds – it has a 12-cup brewer and carafe, and of course my beloved K-Cup pod brewer. This side by side coffee ninja has brought peace to our caffeine-fueled household.
Sometimes I get up REALLY early (I’m basically an owl) and like to enjoy one cup of coffee as I write or surf the web. The K-Cup function is essential to me for that perfect one cup wonder. I can even customize my one K-Cup of coffee. I like an 8oz cup of coffee, but my husband likes a 10oz cup. I love that we have choices – there’s even a 12oz option!
However, if my husband and I are having a lazy morning at home, it’s not usual for us to brew up a pot of coffee to enjoy – slowly, cup after cup. The 12-cup glass carafe stays warm, thanks to the heating plate. There’s also a cool Pause and Pour function that lets me grab a cup of coffee mid-brew. I’m super impatient, so it’s like they KNOW ME. By having BOTH functions in a side by side appliance, I have now saved TONS of counter space and eliminated arguments as to which coffee device we leave out. Genius!
I also just learned that Keurig owns Green Mountain Coffee, which makes this coffee fan girl pretty happy. Green Mountain is known for its single-origin coffees, as well as their sustainability practices which is a huge factor for me when deciding which coffee to purchase.
