Supannee’s Tofu Pad Thai Recipe

This recipe makes a delicious, authentic Pad Thai, focusing on the essential steps for the sauce and noodles.

Pad Thai Sauce
Ingredients:

3 tablespoons tamarind paste

4 tablespoons fish sauce

3 tablespoons palm sugar (or brown sugar)

1½ tablespoons white vinegar

½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional, for spice)

Directions:
Combine all sauce ingredients in a small saucepan. Heat gently over low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the sauce is well combined. Set aside.

Prepare the Noodles
Directions:
Cook the rice noodles in hot water for 3 minutes, or until al dente. Drain immediately and rinse thoroughly with cold water to prevent sticking. Set aside.
