Florence: Oregon Coast Paradise

Florence: Oregon Coast Paradise

It always amazes me how many of my Californian friends have never been to Oregon. If they need a little encouragement to head North, I tell them Oregon is a diverse state with dramatic ocean cliffs, lush green forests and arid deserts in the east. […]

We celebrate a lot of Meatless Mondays at our house (and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, etc.), so I’m always looking for plant-based convenience products that contain quality nutrition. With a growing and active teen in my household, I’m interested in heart-healthy meals that are delicious.  Sometimes we only have 30 minutes between school and sports, so the Alpha Burritos make AWESOME snacks too! ExpoWest Report: Addicted to Sugar? Try These Products

ExpoWest Report: Addicted to Sugar? Try These Products

Roasted Vegetarian Peppers with European Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Roasted Vegetarian Peppers with European Extra Virgin Olive Oil

I often experiment with many different flavors when cooking, and one of my most favorite ways to mix things up is to use different extra virgin olive oils. For my Roasted Vegetarian Peppers recipe, I used European (Italian) EVOO for its rich, herbal flavor that it lends to the peppers.  European EVOO is perfect for all stages of this recipe, from drizzling to baking. Olive oil has a high smoke point (400° F), so it can handle anything from a light sauté, baking to a deep fry.
