We celebrate a lot of Meatless Mondays at our house (and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, etc.), so I’m always looking for plant-based convenience products that contain quality nutrition. With a growing and active teen in my household, I’m interested in heart-healthy meals that are delicious.  Sometimes we only have 30 minutes between school and sports, so the Alpha Burritos make AWESOME snacks too! Plus, as native San Diegans, we eat burritos about five times a week. I think it’s a requirement to live here.

Alpha Burritos may be microwaved for a quick meal, or if I have 10 minutes, I simply bake them on a cookie sheet. Burritos that are just a little golden and crispy on the outside are so delicious!

I recently sampled the plant-based Alpha Burritos at Expo West,  and loved the different varieties of burritos that even a die-hard meat eater would love!

Alpha Burritos are available in four delicious, plant-based flavors: Mexicali, Fajita Chick’n, Philly Sandwich, and Pizza. The fillings are juicy, flavorful and the plant-based ‘ground meat’ will fool any die-hard meat eater. So, I was super excited to be able to share them at home with my family!

Each of Alpha’s Burritos is packed with protein (11 grams per serving!), veggies, and a variety of perfect seasoning blends, all wrapped into a fluffy tortilla shell and hand rolled. High in plant protein, cholesterol free, and non-GMO, each burrito is made with clean ingredients for a delicious taste that my family loves.  I’m also excited that these burritos only have 2 grams of sugar. It’s really HARD to find convenience products with low sugar, so this fires on all of my ‘nutritional’ quest cylinders!

Many people are seeking to reduce their meat or dairy intake, as heart disease continues to rise and threaten our American population. Eating plant-based foods is not only good for the environment and animal welfare, but it’s good for your BODY and health!

Where to purchase

Alpha Burritos are available to purchase at select Walmart stores in Arizona, California, Washington, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, and Oregon. They are also rolling out nationwide throughout the month of March at select Kroger and Publix locations.
