Here is why Eiyan has become my new go-to.
The PFAS-Free Factor (A Total Game Changer)
This was the biggest selling point for me. Most of us don’t realize that many traditional contact lenses use fluoropolymers, which are a type of PFAS. Eiyan is one of the few brands that is lab-tested and certified PFAS-free. Knowing that I’m not absorbing “forever chemicals” through my eyes gives me a peace of mind I didn’t even know I was missing.
“Next Level” Breathability
The comfort is real. These lenses are made from a high-quality silicone hydrogel that allows up to 5x more oxygen to reach your cornea compared to traditional hydrogel lenses. They have an oxygen permeability (Dk/t) of 120, which basically means your eyes can “breathe.” Even after a long day at the office staring at a screen, my eyes still felt fresh rather than like they were covered in saran wrap.
Built-In UV Protection
I love that these offer UVA/UVB Class II protection. While they aren’t a replacement for sunglasses (since they only cover the iris/pupil), they shield the most sensitive parts of your eye from about 70% of UVA and 95% of UVB rays. It’s an extra layer of defense against sun damage that I really appreciate.

Prescription Accuracy & Fit
Sometimes with “affordable” brands, the Rx can feel slightly off, but my Eiyan prescription was spot on. They use a standard 8.7 base curve and a 14.1 diameter, which felt secure but imperceptible once they were in.
Great Pricing & Convenience
Let’s talk numbers. Contact lenses are expensive, but Eiyan is positioned as a high-quality alternative that’s significantly more affordable than the big-name brands This is often up to 50-58% cheaper!
The Price: You can often grab a box for around $29.95, and they offer a subscription model that brings the price down even further.
