New Year, New You, But Without Trying Very Hard

New Year, New You, But Without Trying Very Hard

I’m all about resolutions and self-improvement, but when January rolls around, life starts to feel like a chore. This year, I’ve taken the whole resolution thing off my plate, but have added natural products and easy ideas to help improve my life, but without major effort. These are easy fixes from beauty to time savers.

Smart Fitness Watch

How are those New Year’s Resolutions going? This Smart Fitness Band (currently on sale for $34) is keeping me accountable! Yesterday I walked the dog and only burned 36 calories. Ha! I like the particular fitness band, not only for the price point, but because it was easy for me to set up.

affordable smart fitness watch with o2 monitor

This affordable fitness watch is tied into Alexa, so you can talk to Amazon Alexa on your Amazfit Band 5. Ask questions, get translations, set alarms, and timers, create shopping lists, check the weather, control your smart home devices, and more. You can measure your blood oxygen saturation and understand your physical state with OxygenBeatsTM. Ideal for high-intensity workouts and sports such as marathons and gym workouts. With Huami-proprietary BioTracker TM2 PPG optical sensor, this health tracker performs 24/7 real-time heart rate monitoring and high heart rate warning. Band 5 can also professionally interpret the sleep characteristics at each stage and analyzes sleep quality, to help you adjust your sleep habits. It even monitors your 20-minute daily nap. Seriously for $35, this is the best deal out there!

SkinCare

All of that sun damage in my youth is now here to bite me, hard. I’m fighting the discoloration and spots back with Vitamin C Serum. It helps brighten the complexion, and the hyaluronic acid in the serum also helps keep my skin feeling healthy and refreshed.

I recommend SeoulCeuticals Korean Skin Care 20% Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid Serum + CE Ferulic Acid – Potent Anti Aging, Anti Wrinkle Korean Beauty 1oz. I’m a huge K Beauty fan as it’s effective and made with natural ingredients. They have a coupon right now, so grab this before it’s gone.

Scrub Away the Old

Buff out the old, and in with the new. Brooklyn Botany Brown Sugar Body Scrub  is filled with powerful All Natural and Organic Ingredients. – Moisturizing and Exfoliating Body, Face, Hand, Foot Scrub – Fights Acne, Fine Lines & Wrinkles

The brown sugar scrub stimulates blood flow and help improve skin’s imperfections such as stretch marks, acne, cellulite & eczema.  It is softer than regular sugar scrubs, while remaining strong enough to scrub away dead skin cells and make way for the healthier, glowing clear skin.  Best of all it’s only $10.

Pilates

Skip the marathon challenge this year and take up pilates instead. Pilates is a core strengthening exercise, but doesn’t involve any hard impact or heavy lifting.

You will however notice after doing pilates for awhile that you are becoming stronger and even leaner from muscle lengthening. Make sure to get a nice comfy yoga mat. This mat is extra long and comes with it’s own carrying case. One side is smooth and the other side has a grippy surface, so it’s great for placement on slippery surfaces.

Back Care

This year I’m making a better effort to care for my back. As a heavy computer user, I often suffer from lower back pain. A friend has been suggesting that I try a foam roller for-evvvvvvvver, so I finally caved and went all in on this High Density Foam Roller.
Rollers are often used for physical therapy, self-acupressure targeting trigger points, injury recovery, sports enthusiasts, runners, CrossFit, Pilates, yoga, weight training, resistance training, and body sculpting – Target upper and lower back, legs, neck, shoulders, abdominal core, IT bands, hamstrings, glutes, hips and thighs.

I am using it to gently roll my back on top off (on the floor). It almost feels like I’m ironing out my back, one vertabrae at a time. There’s a little learning curve, but now I can take my crumped crooked self and roll my back out in the mornings and evenings and I feel better instantly. I hightly recommend rollers to help with back issues!

I have received the items above to review. All opinions and views are that of my own.
