I was recently sent some samples of Eucalan Delicate Washes and was blown away by the quality! Eucalan Delicate Wash is non-toxic, biodegradable, free of optical brighteners, phosphates, synthetic fragrance and dye. The bonus…each one smells absolutely amazing. Natural scents like grapefruit, lavender and eucalyptus. There is also an unscented one for those who are sensitive to smell. These washes are perfect for washing delicates, workout wear, woolens, bathing suits and even make-up brushes! I think I’ve ruined more bathing suits over the years by including them in my regular wash. The washes are ‘no rinse’, so after the delicate items have soaked in the wash, they may be gently wrung out and dried flat.
Not only are these washes earth-friend and biodegradable, but less water is needed during use. As a resident of drought prone Southern California, that is great news! The Eucalan website also provides tips on how to further reduce water and energy usage.
My very favorite is the eucalyptus! It is bright, herbally scented and makes me feel awake! Perhaps if I wash all my running wear in it, I’ll move faster 🙂

The non-scented wash was great for washing my make-up brushes. The old-makeup came out quickly under warm water and a little wash, and then I squeezed out excess water and laid out to dry.

How To Use Eucalan
Eucalan Delicate Wash is perfectly suited to many items.
Hand Wash:
- Add Eucalan to basin.
- Fill basin with tepid water (room temperature water, not hot and not cold)
- Insert article to be washed and soak for 15 min. (minimum).
- Squeeze article gently to incorporate water and soap through fibres.
- Pull article out of water and gently squeeze out excess water. Do not twist or ring.
- Follow drying instructions below.
Machine Wash:
Front Load Machine:
- Select Rinse and Spin or Hand Wash/Delicate cycle. Cold or tepid water.
- Add Eucalan** to fabric softener drawer.
- Load articles into machine and start cycle.
- Follow drying instructions below.
Top Load Machine:
- Add Eucalan** to machine.
- Select gentle cycle and add cold or tepid water.
- Stop machine. Add articles.
- Allow to soak 15 min. (minimum).
- Gently squeeze articles to incorporate soap and water through fibres.
- Spin water out.
- Follow drying instructions below.
