After walking around Colonial Williamsburg admiring garden after garden, surrounded by trees in full-bloom, it’s no wonder my daughter and I were both slammed with seasonal allergies. At first we thought we may have picked up a cold (or Covid! Eek!) while traveling, but as the days went on (and precautionary Covid tests negative), we realized that the non-stop sneezing, itchy eyes and nasal congestion was indeed a result of nature’s irritant – pollen.
Thankfully Swiss-based Similasan Allergy Eye Relief drops are a NATURAL way to remedy these annoying symptoms! Some allergy drops also contain antihistamine chemicals such as Pheniramine maleate or ketotifen fumarate to combat the itchy sensation that also goes along with seasonal allergies. Products like Visine will whiten eyes temporarily, but often the ‘boomerang’ result is REDDER eyes from the initial vasoconstriction of blood vessels (making eyes appear white by cutting off the blood supply). It’s just not worth it!
Similasan, however, has No harsh vasoconstrictors or antihistamines and only uses natural ingredients like Euphrasia and Sabadilla lily to remedy itchy eyes & common allergy symptoms. Eyebright (Euphrasia) is intended to temporarily relieve minor symptoms such as a thick mucus and/or watery discharge, redness, and swelling of the eyelid. Sabadilla is intended to temporarily relieve minor symptoms such as watering eyes and eyelid redness.
As we traveled light with carry-on bags, I was so happy we brought the ‘travel-size’ one-use Similasan drops to remedy our itchy, irritated eyes. These handy-dandy single use plastic tubes are filled with enough soothing drops for each eye. This is a MUST have purse item no matter where you go!
This is a sponsored post by Similasan, but the photos and opinions are that of my own.
