I recently attended the Holiday of Play Virtual Toy Expo by Toy Insider seeking innovative educational STEM toys. I found plenty of STEM toys and activities for the holiday season, but also fell in LOVE with the retro themed toy minis from Super Impulse. If you’re a GenXer, you’ll be #totallystoked to see our childhood favorites such as real working mini PacMan arcade game, mini-magic 8 Ball, Lite Brite, Rubik’s Cube.
These classic collectible toys bring back fond memories of our generation’s youth, when pre-internet, we would spend hours and hours playing with these items. It’s also fun to share the simple joys of these timeless games with our own kids. They make the perfect stocking stuffers for adults and kids alike and are very reasonable priced.
Love the 80’s video games? Super Impulse offers a whole suite of mini-arcade games to enjoy. I actually have the original full-size Centipede game in my garage, and as much as I love it, it takes up a lot of space. These mini-sized arcade machines bring me such happiness, but in a scalable way! They offer: Ms. Pac Man, Pac Man, Frogger, Dig Dug, Galaxian, Space Invaders, Pole Position, Tetris, Rally X and Qbert. Although the game play is small, it’s completely doable. I was able to get to level 6 on Pac Man and I haven’t played in years!
