Our New Year’s Eve celebration may be small this year, but it will be fancy! Thankfully these sweet and savory blueberry brie bites are SUPER easy to make, but feel very gourmet. By baking the wonton wrappers (versus frying), I am reducing the fat content and lightening up the recipe considerably. The Twin Dragon wonton wrappers are the perfect vessel to deliver these delicious holiday inspired bites.
Using Twin Dragon Wonton wrappers, you simply fold one wrapper into each greased mini-muffin well and fill with a slice of brie, pecans, shallot, blueberries and a little pinch of cardamom. Bake at 380 degrees for 8 minutes. I did brush a little melted butter on the wonton wrapper folds sticking out to let them crisp up more.
You Will Need:
Make as many as you want! Amounts below are per appetizer.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Bake Time: 8-9 minutes at 380 degrees
- Twin Dragon Wonton Wrappers (1 per appetizer)
- 2 blueberries per appetizer
- shelled, raw pecan bits to sprinkle on each appetizer
- 1 shallot, sliced thin, one thin slice per bite
- cardamom (optional) sprinkle a tiny pinch per bite
- pan spray
- mini-muffin tin
How To Prepare:
Spray the mini-muffin tin with a vegetable oil.
Add one wonton wrapper to each well, and tuck in.
Add one piece of brie, two blueberries, shallot slice and some pecans. Sprinkle just a tiny pinch of cardamom on top.
Bake for 12-13 minutes at 380 degrees on the top rack in the oven.
Warning – when you take these babies out of the oven, let them rest for up to 10 minutes because the blueberries are lava hot!
