Easy BBQ Vegetarian Wraps

BBQ season can be a little tricky for vegetarians to navigate, so I love this delicious plant-based wrap that includes tasty BBQ flavor without the meat! This is an easy item to prepare if you’re having a BBQ and want to provide a vegetarian option. I recently made these wraps for the 4th of July, and it was a huge hit! Even my meat-eating friends ate them! I used Stubb’s Legendary Bar-B-Q sauce to blend in with my garbanzo bean mixture, as it’s flavorful and tastes very natural.

Stubb’s® Bar-B-Q Sauces are also gluten-free, have no MSG, no hfcs, no trans fats, and no sulfites. I also love that the sauces come in a glass bottle, so everything is very pure and genuine.  One bottle will make up lots of wraps AND you’ll have plenty left over for meat on the grill!

Easy BBQ Vegetarian Wraps

You Will Need:

1 Tablespoon Light Sour Cream or vegan sour cream

2 Tablespoons Stubb’s® Bar-B-Q Sauces

1 – 15oz  Can of Garbanzo Beans

Veggies you like – I used Avocado, Red Pepper, Spinach, Persian Cucumber

Large 12″ Tortillas Any Variety – I used the Spinach because I think they are prettier

How to Prepare:

Pour the Stubb’s® Bar-B-Q Sauce over the garbanzo beans and sour cream and lightly mash. You just need to mash slightly so the garbanzos don’t run out of the tortilla.

Don’t mash TOO much or the wrap will be mushy – leave lots of the beans whole and firm for texture.

Taking your favorite veggies, layer down the center horizontally across the tortilla. Tuck in the outside ends on top of the veggies, and then start rolling all the ingredients up.  Slice in half and serve!

You can make the garbanzo bean BBQ mixture up to the night before and then make the wraps prior to serving as tortillas can get mushy in the refrigerator if stored too long. It’s best to wrap fresh! So yummy!
