Rosehips for Healthy Hips? Yes!

Rosehips for Healthy Hips? Yes!

WIN A BOTTLE OF GOPO ROSEHIPS WITH VITAMIN C! Details at bottom of post!

One day I woke up and I was in my 40’s. To me, age is just a number and to prove it, I will occasionally do a cartwheel in the park. This is also a surefire way to embarrass the kids! However, embarrassing cartwheels aside, I was starting to wake up during the night with hip pain. My knees would also often ache, especially after a long day of shopping. When did I become so fragile? The reality is, no matter how healthy an individual is, as they age their joints will show some changes in mobility, due in part to changes in the connective tissues.

This shop has been compensated by Mambo Sprouts and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

As I sit at the computer a lot during the day for my job, I have made an effort to move every day. I do pilates, spin class and walk. These exercises help with my range of mobility and posture, but I was still waking up every night with hip and knee pain.

When I was asked to review GOPO Rosehips with Vitamin C, I did lots of research on Rosehips before accepting the task.

What are Rosehips?

Rosehips are the seed pods of roses. After reading several studies, the common benefit of rosehips is that they have anti-inflammatory properties and can help with arthritis.  See article by the Arthritis Foundation here.

Satisfied with my rose hip research, I agreed to take GOPO Rosehips with Vitamin C for a minimum of 3-5 weeks, which I have done. However, I really didn’t have to wait a full 3 weeks to see an improvement. About 2-1/2 weeks in, I was sleeping through the night without waking up with excruciating hip pain. I still wake up during the night (pee, cat meowing, that annoying neighbor that drives a motorcycle late at night), but my actual physical pain was decreasing. As I started feeling better in the morning, I actually started increasing my exercise classes.

Pain can be a vicious downward cycle. Pain = no movement. No movement = more pain.

Now my pain is self-generated from working out and I have sore muscles more often, but that’s a good thing!

GOPO Rose Hips with Vitamin C

Clinically proven and used extensively in Europe, GOPO is now available to Americans to help support long-term cartilage care and joint mobility. The key is galactolipids, which occur naturally in rosehips, the fruit of a rose. But the GOPO rosehip is different. They’ve used science to grow a unique rose cultivar and refined it to its most potent form to offer asupplement with galactolipids specifically designed for joint care. At just 3 weeks, 8 out of 10 users reported positive results.

The GOPO founder, Gilbert Lane, was an early supporter of the idea that people can improve their health through diet and the use of carefully selected plants and nutrients. Today, traditional herbal knowledge plus high-end manufacturing is still the combination that ensures continued innovation and leadership. We are proud to manufacture and distribute trusted and proven health care brands, now available in over 25,000 locations across the United States.

Almost all of my relatives have arthritis, so I am going to do everything I can to maintain healthy joints. GOPO Rosehips with Vitamin C is now a part of my body health game plan!
