Spring Break Vacation 2020 – Must Pack Items

The holiday decorations have been packed away, resolutions made and now it’s finally time to start focusing on the next big thing – Spring Break Vacation 2020! If you’re like me, you’ve already been researching or planning a fun trip for the whole family to enjoy.

Whether that be a relaxing beach vacation at sunny Cabo San Lucas or an adventurous outdoor experience at Yosemite National Park, the key to enjoying your break without any hiccups is to make sure you come prepared. This is why I’m updating my previous article Summer Vacation 2016 – Must Pack Traval Items! for your spring vacation:

A waterproof, sturdy walking shoe

It’s important to pack a good walking shoe whether you’re treading a sandy beach or want to change out of your bulky hiking boots. Wet soggy shoes are no fun & can cause blisters! The Arizona Slide Sandal from Birkenstock’s Essentials collection comes highly recommended because they’re lightweight, waterproof, comfortable, and even great for commuting. They come in fun colors to make your outfit pop, and may even become your favorite pair after your vacation.

A quick-drying towel

A lightweight, quick-drying towel is a must for any vacation that involves a beach, amusement park, camping, or any other outdoor activity. No one has time to wait around for a towel to dry & you may not have access to a dryer.  The Rainleaf Microfiber Towel is a best-seller that comes in six sizes and is praised with five-star reviews, from users who go backpacking, hiking, or traveling in general. It’s compact and comes in its own case, so you can bring one for everyone in the family.

A comfortable, versatile shirt

As much as you have your itinerary in order, some flexibility in your schedule should allow for spontaneity. This is why you need to pack a shirt that can be worn for multiple occasions and packs well (doesn’t wrinkle). Woman Within’s classic flannel shirt is an excellent choice, as it comes in a variety of prints and inclusive sizes, making it easy to fit with any outfit or cover-up. This is a perfect item for just grabbing and putting on when heading out for a fun day or evening out.

A tinted sunscreen

Sunscreen should be applied daily, especially if you’re going to be outdoors for an extended period of time. Tinted sunscreen that doubles are make-up is even better as it offers lightweight coverage that will make your skin glow while protecting it. EltaMD’s UV Physical Broad-Spectrum SPF 41 is a dermatologist favorite for good reason. It comes in blendable tints, is chemical-free,  loaded with anti-oxidants and is also waterproof.

A day-to-night bodysuit

Versatile pieces are a must, especially if you’re limited on suitcase space. A one-piece swimsuit is a travel favorite as it can be reused several times. House of Harlowe 1960 x Revolve’s black and beige one-piece swimsuit has a classic silhouette that is flattering for all body types. You can wear it as it is if you’re going for a swim, use it as an activewear top while exercising, or even wear it at night with a skirt for a more elevated look with some fun jewelry.

You can get packing as early as now! Rest assured, these smart essentials will ensure that your vacation goes smoothly and stylishly!
