Summer Vacation 2016 – Must Pack Travel Items!

Summer Vacation 2016 – Must Pack Travel Items!
I was a Girl Scout and a Girl Scout leader, so really I have no excuses to be ill-prepared. However, it always feels like Summer sneaks up on me and I’m scrambling to pack the perfect travel suitcase.

This year I’ve made a little list of things that I believe will make my Summer trips a bit easier and a lot more fun.

Inflatable Neck Pillow

We do a lot of flying and driving in the summer and inflatable pillows have never been on my pack list. It’s one of those things that I  think I don’t need, and then half-way into my trip I’m kicking myself HARD for not having one as my neck turns into concrete and a headache sets in. This lightweight travel pillow by GikPal is soft and so easy to blow up AND deflate. No huffing and puffing, and deflates in seconds. *Available on Amazon.

Deep Facial Cleanser

Summer travel often means being on the go which is exciting and spontaneous. It also means I’m hot and sweaty, which is gross and often spells trouble for my skin. I like to pack a cleanser that is effective, non-drying and also in a tube container (not a pump – pumps always leak in a suitcase!) I love this Rose Hip Seed Deep Cleanser  because it does not contain any parabens, sulfates or harsh chemicals yet it’s very effective for washing away dirt and grime from road travel. It’s also in a tube, so it’s easy to screw the cap tightly and not worry about goo all over my clothing. Until 6/8/16, you can get this product for only $9.98! Swim Cover-up

The perfect swim cover-up should be light for quick drying  AND easy to throw over your swimsuit to double as a sundress.  I also love multi-purpose pieces when traveling because they save on packing space! A functional beach cover-up may be paired with cute sandals and jewelry to make a perfectly sane outfit. I also know I’ll have no problem eating inside a hotel restaurant cafe’ where swimsuits are not allowed. This cover-up is available on Amazon* and they have many different colors and styles all at a reasonable price.

Quality Ear Buds

Plane and car travel time means you have plenty of opportunity to listen to audio books or music. I really like these Audiophile earbuds because the sound quality is clear and crisp.  Audiophile’s trademarked ear bliss comes from rigid Dual Drivers, featuring a dynamic balanced armature (normally these are only found in $200+ earbuds). This set also includes different ear bud covers so you may change out sizes for the perfect fit. They are also good for blocking out annoying engine noise or children (just kidding, sort of.) 😉  Available on Amazon.*

Hammock with Straps

This hammock is so lightweight, that it’s easy to use in my own yard, or better yet – pack for one of our family nature outings! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in a pristine gorgeous place and thought, “If only I had somewhere to sit and relax.”. Talk about taking it one step further. Now I can bring this fun nylon hammock on roads trips and hikes and easily strap up to nearby trees or sturdy posts. Make sure your have a straps kit with caribiners in your hammock travel pack so you can easily hook up just about anywhere!  Both the hammock and hammock straps by OHUHU are available on Amazon*, and they are also very reasonable in price. I’ve been sitting in mine a lot lately, because I need…um, practice. 😉

Please note: *I received these products at a discount or for free in exchange for an honest review, which I have provided. The opinions expressed are that of my own.
