I love my Kindle. I love my Kindle.

Amazon's Kindle is the answer for finicky readers. I love to read a good juicy book in the evenings, but I found myself buying lots of duds and tuning out of reading, and tuning into brainless television. But, now that I have this awesome Kindle in  my hot little hands, I'm finding that nightly TV is not in my schedule anymore!

The freebie preview feature allows users to really choose what they like. If I find myself getting bored after chapter 1, I delete the freebie and move on to the next book. No harm, no foul.

The viewing screen is beyond awesome. There is no backlight to strain your eyes. You have to use your own lighting, as you would with any regular paper book. However, if you are getting tired eyes, you can easily pump up the font size, and make it larger.

And, if you're REALLY getting tired, you can click (on most books), the text to speech option and just listen to the book being read to you! I haven't used this feature yet, as I do have my limits. Why buy a book if you're not going to read it? I digress. :)

The Kindle isn't cheap. At $259, it's a pricey 'book', but I figured I have already dodged the 'book' bullet by not buying bad books.

If you're going to splurge for a gift this Holiday season, I recommend the Kindle wholeheartedly! It's a winner, and the recipient will LOVE it. This is a slam dunk.
